Baby seats are attached to the walls in Japan

According to the Japan Baby Care Association, this system allows parents to keep their babies in view 100% of the time. It is also beneficial for infants as it provides them with greater stability as they are growing and formulating their motor skills.
The US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has set guidelines for how long infants should be in car seats or other devices such as swings. They recommend placing children up to two years old rear-facing until they weigh at least 20 pounds and measure at least 32 inches tall.
